Our Iran Photography Tour will begin in different regions of Iran. We’ll be there from October 4th to 13th, 2025. First, we’ll head to Meshed, visiting the much-loved Khorasan region and the tomb of Omar Khayyam. Along the way, we’ll stop by villages and farms, photographing saffron harvesting wherever we can. Then, we’ll head to the cities, visiting Yazd and Shiraz, two of the most beautiful cities. We’ll visit the nomadic Turks who still live in tents. We’ll take delightful photos, enjoying the warm welcome of the Iranian people. Now, let’s take a look at the broader program.
Program
- Day: We will arrive in Mashhad at night and rest in our hotel.
- Day: After checking into our hotel, we’ll begin our morning photoshoot. Today, we’ll take a two-hour drive to visit Omar Khayyam’s tomb. Along the way, we’ll stop at a village for photography. We’ll wander around this adobe-built village and take photos. Because it’s not a particularly touristy area, it’s one of the few remaining originals. At the end of our day, we’ll have dinner together and return to our hotel to relax.
- Day: This morning, after breakfast, we’ll visit a textile-weaving village in Khorasan. Here, we’ll photograph women weaving in the traditional way. We’ll visit them in their homes and sometimes in their weaving workshops. This village has received the UNESCO Seal of Authenticity for this purpose. We’ll finish the day by taking photos in various locations. We’ll have dinner together and relax at our hotel.
- Day: After breakfast today, we’ll be driving for about 4-5 hours. This evening, our plans include visiting farms and photographing the saffron harvest, which is expected to begin seasonally. We’ll finish the day by taking photos at various locations. We’ll have dinner together before retiring for sleep and relaxation.
- Day: We’ll have a long journey today. It’ll take about eight hours. We’ll spend the day on the road, taking breaks in between. If we make it to the end of the day, we’ll photograph Yazd at sunset. We’ll all have dinner together and then retire for another rest.
- Day: We’ll explore Yazd in the morning, feeling refreshed. It’s a city you’ll thoroughly enjoy. Its labyrinthine, mysterious, narrow streets, towering buildings, and cafeterias overlooking the city will captivate us all day. There’s also a very old mill we’ll visit. I think we’ll all enjoy taking photos there. We’ll have dinner together and relax at our hotel.
- Day: After breakfast, we’ll spend some more time in Yazd before heading to Shiraz. Our journey will again take around five hours. We’ll stop at Persepolis en route. We’ll arrive in Shiraz in the evening and stay overnight.
- Day: Early in the morning, we’ll visit the Pink Mosque, famous for its stained glass windows, the Vakil Mosque, and finally the Vakil Market, where we’ll have a great time taking photos. At the end of the day, we’ll enjoy a meal together and relax.
- Day: Today is our last day, but it promises to be a day full of beautiful photography. We’ll visit nomadic Turks living in Iran. We’ll stay in their tents. Afterward, we’ll visit Pink Lake, a pink lake due to the algae it contains. We’ll finish the day with dinner and head to the airport. Even just writing this is exciting. It’s difficult to describe how delightful this region is for photography, having been there several times before. You can only truly appreciate the joy of photography by taking photos.

- People who will join our tour from different countries can buy their plane tickets a day earlier.
- We can arrange a transfer to pick them up from the airport upon request. We can book an extra hotel for one night.
- Flight tickets are not included in our trips. Everyone buys their own plane ticket.
Our excursions are with English-speaking guides. - One or two of our photography consultants will definitely be with our guests on every trip.
- Our trips are for photography purposes only, not touristic.
- In general, although we sometimes wander around touristic places, we often go off the route.
- On our trips, we take pictures freely, sometimes all together, sometimes apart.
